Crafar Crouch undertakes a huge range of residential and commercial projects throughout Marlborough. These include:
Housing Subdivisions: From bare land to house-ready, our capabilities enable us to cover all aspects of creating subdivisions. We take care of the bulk earthmoving for overall land development as well as the requirements within individual house sites (house foundations, drainage, driveways, paths, retaining walls, topsoil and landscaping supplies).
Vineyard Development: Establishing sites as ready for planting. We take care of earthmoving and land development, dam building and drainage.
Septic Tanks: Supply and installation of septic tank systems to residential and commercial properties including those in the Marlborough Sounds.
Wharf / Boatshed Building: Specialists in marine carpentry projects, our team operates in the most remote areas of the Marlborough Sounds.
Drainage: Our registered drain layers are involved in an array of domestic and commercial drainage projects including: upgrading and replacing Marlborough District Council drainage systems, installation of systems on both commercial and residential building sites and designing and installing drainage for agricultural land- use including viticulture.
Water Reticulation: Crafar Crouch Construction has an ongoing involvement in maintaining the Picton water supply on behalf of the Marlborough District Council. We also undertake extensive work on (installing /maintaining) vineyard irrigation.
Log Ship Loading: We run a 24 hour operation in the port of Picton loading logs onto vessels.

Our most valuable resource is our people. We have an accomplished and dedicated team of over 30 people. Constant opportunities to up-skill through both formal and practical training on the job ensure a solid skill base.
Plant and machinery is our other significant resource enabling better solutions for our customers diverse needs. Regular turnover of plant (nothing is older than five years) and our permanently staffed workshop ensures safety, efficiency and precision.
Crafar Crouch has a large fleet including: · 12 Excavators – two tonne to 25 tonne capacity. · Log Grapple Excavators · Six Wheeled loaders – half a cubic metre bucket to three cubic metre bucket. · 10 Trucks – three metre to 18 metre capacity. · Three Transport Trucks – six tonne to 30 tonne capacity. · Two boats (operated by registered skippers)
The Hire Centre: Customers can hire our considerable range of machinery without the additional cost of manpower.
Skip and Wheelie Bins are available to both commercial and residential customers on a casual or permanent basis. The service includes removal and caters for the recycling of glass, plastics, cans, paperand cardboard.
